3 Easy Ways to Burn More Fat

Everywhere you look, you will see information and products that center on losing weight. Losing weight can not only be expensive, but confusing as well. Not everyone is a mathematical genius, and it almost seems that this is required for many of the diet plans out there. You have to count calories consumed, and calories burned, weigh food, and so much more.

Here 3 simple things you can do in your life right now to start burning some more fat, and keeping it off too!

1. Change Your Beverages

Take the guesswork out of beverages. You don’t have to figure out how many ounces are in that glass, or how many calories are in that fresh squeezed juice at all. Stick to good, old fashioned water. It has no calories, and you can drink as much of it as you want.

Because you will not be drinking fruit juices, however, you should supplement your diet with a good multivitamin. If you aren’t sure which one to take, ask your doctor or pharmacist to recommend one. Just make sure that they know that you are trying to lose weight so that they can recommend the correct multivitamin for you.

2. Increase Physical Activity

Do more physical activity each day than you are currently doing – without changing anything else. You will lose weight, because you are burning more calories, and you don’t have to count anything.

For example, if you already walk for thirty minutes each day, increase it to an hour, or add a thirty minute exercise class into the mix. This only works if your weight has stayed about the same for a period of time – without a gain or a loss. This means that you are ‘maintaining’ or using the right amount of calories in comparison to the calories that you are consuming, so that you neither gain nor lose weight. If you have been gaining weight, you will also have to cut down on the amount or types of foods you are eating, but this doesn’t have to be confusing either.

3. Consider Food Choices Carefully

You know chips are bad for you. You know you shouldn’t have fried foods. You know you should avoid sweets that contain refined sugars. You don’t have to count calories and make it all difficult; you just have to make better choices.

Of course, you also have to use common sense. For example, a Slimfast has about 190 calories in it. If you drink six of them a day, have two healthy meals, and healthy snacks throughout the day, you will gain weight. The six meal replacement shakes are to blame. Cut it down to one or two. Even ‘diet food’ can cause you to gain weight if you consume too much of it.

Weight Loss Boot Camp Expectations

Boot camps are not just for the obese anymore.  These camps offer more than just a lot of exercise.  You will get that, but you will also receive training in other areas by professionals to help you reach the goal of not only weight loss but of adapting a healthier lifestyle all around.  You may attend a weight loss boot camp for toning of muscles, nutrition and diet counseling, lifestyle counseling and exercise training.

Professional Trainers

Exercise plays a major role in losing weight.  You have got to burn the calories you consume.  Exercises that are not done correctly can be less effective and can cause harm to your body.  Weight loss camps have professional trainers on staff to instruct you on the correct ways to perform various exercises.  They can help with correct modifications if you need them.  Professional trainers can also teach you new and different exercise routines to help you avoid boredom.  They are able to help you do the exercises to target certain muscle groups that you need to work on to strengthen, build or tone.

Nutrition and Diet Counseling

Any weight loss plan needs a good diet plan.  You will learn how to eat the proper foods that will help you lose weight while benefiting from more energy and power throughout the day.  Which vitamins, nutrients and minerals you need to include in your diet for a healthy body.  You cannot lose weight if you are not properly nourishing your body and providing it the fuel it needs to exercise and to boost your metabolism.  Dieticians and nutrition specialists are generally on staff to offer education and planning to help you achieve your weight loss goals.

Lifestyle Changes

When you attend a boot camp and achieve the results you are looking for you will find that you have not only changed the weight of your body, but the way you look at life and the choices you make in general.  Many camps offer therapy for stress management, coping strategies and other type’s issues that may affect your ability to lose weight.  Many people who need to lose weight are overweight due to personal issues and not just the amount of food they eat or lack of exercise.

You should check out a camp before attending it.  Make sure they have an educated staff in place with certifications and experience to meet all of your needs.  Before you sign up ask if you can observe a day at the camp to determine if it is the right place for you.

Weight Loss Retreat in Bali

Super excited about our next Weight Loss Trips’ destination the top retreat in Ubud, Bali Weight Loss. It is being run by Sophie Jones who I know many of you are already familiar with or have even been to her retreats in Costa Rica.

Sophie is a good friend of mine and someone I trust completely to deliver a holistic and inspired retreat whether the goal of it is a full body detox, cleansing of the mind, or in this case a straight to the point weight loss retreat.

Bali is also one of my very favorite destinations for wellness holidays and retreats because it is such a magical land as it is, full of spirituality, vibrance and goodness. Just writing about it makes me tingle! When I’m on the island I am almost always located in the area of Ubud because it’s, for me anyway, by far the nicest place in Bali.

I’m so happy in fact that the retreats will be run in Ubud because it is a very special place for me and the ideal place to just forget about the past, and embrace a new and healthy future.

So definitely very excited about it and will be posting more as I know more!
